Travel For Teens is differentiated from other teen travel by some key hallmarks. We offer two week trips that serve as a terrific travel abroad experience on their own or which can be combined for a longer, more varied travel experience that uniquely fits the budget and wishes of each traveler.

Our trips feature choices in activities. Students do not want to be herded through rigid schedules; we have found that they want the same kinds of travel choices that adults want. Plus, they come back more enriched because their own unique interests have been served.

Our staff is second to none, undergoing extensive interviewing, training, and ongoing evaluation. We hire very few new staff each year, as our retention rate is quite high. Our staff does not lead a trip without prior experience as a TFT counselor. With few exceptions, our students are fully supervised on all of our journeys.

Our students spend very little time on buses so as to maximize their experiences. They mostly stay in smaller, authentic hotels close to the center of the action. This helps a student learn to be a competent traveler and world citizen---everything does not have to be just like home in order to be OK. We know that most of our travelers will embark on independent journeys of their own once they leave high school. We want them to be competent and prepared.

Our language programs offer supervised cultural awareness and experience. Our community service programs are interesting and diverse. Finally, we choose the most exciting destinations in the world. Our travelers learn nuances of cultures and also live like the locals for the kinds of experiences that differentiate tourists from world travelers!
